Welcome to our Year 1 class page

We are The Owls!

Our class is taught by Mrs Evans and she is supported by our wonderful teaching assistants, Mrs Northrop and Mrs Kent.

Together we create a friendly and caring atmosphere where children feel happy, confident and ready to learn.

We encourage every child to thrive, enjoy learning and grow in independence throughout the year.

Children take part in daily phonics, writing and maths lessons to build strong foundations for their learning. Our exciting topics for the rest of the year include Woodlands, Trains, Planes & Automobiles, and The Seaside.

Reading books are sent home every Friday and should be returned the following Friday, and spellings are sent home each Monday for children to practise during the week.
